FitOn Health (formally known as Peerfit)
FitOn Health is a customized fitness benefit provided by Newark Board of Education which gives you access to gyms and fitness studios. You can choose from a variety of offerings including yoga, spin, boot camp and CrossFit. Each month you can receive enough FitOn Health credits to take an average of four classes or you can use your credits towards unlimited gym membership. To be eligible you, the employee, must be enrolled in the Aetna medical plan. This benefit is only available to the employee, as the main Aetna subscriber, and not extended to dependents, i.e. a spouse or child(ren), who may be employed by NBOE as well.
This digital currency gets deposited monthly into your account via your online dashboard. All you have to do is Create your FitOn Health Account – Choose a Studio – Reserve a Class – Show up and Work Out. You can utilize the website or Mobile App to Check In and to record your attendance when you go work out!

Step-by-Step Instructions to Download Explanation of Benefits (EOB) from Aetna
Step 1: Visit Aetna’s website at www.Aetna.com
Step 2: Click “Login”
- Under Member Login, click “Login” to access your Aetna account. Use the credentials that you registered with (username and password). Or create an account.
Step 3: Click “Claims & Spending”
- Claims are listed down on the middle of the screen.
Step 4: Clicking on “Download Claims,” will download an excel document for viewing claims in an excel format OR
Step 5: To view a specific claim, click the right arrow on that claim:
- On the right-hand side, under Review of Explanation of Benefits, click “View Summary” and then “View Explanation of Benefits.” A statement will appear on screen for viewing or printing.
